Select Restoration and Bryan were the only company we could get to assist with the water damage clean-up and mold prevention from the June 2021 flooding. Bryan was responsive, helpful and very fair. Crew showed up the same day I called and got there on time for ice dam removal on our roof.We had pretty extensive ice damming for the first time in 7 winters. They quoted us a fair price and got the work done quickly.Would definitely use them again.

Being a single mother is tough but it is especially challenging when enduring the pandemic and when something goes wrong with your home. Select was a great company to work with. We had our water heater go out and flood our entire basement. It was 6am and I called a handful of places and select was the only one that I was able to get a hold of. They came out promptly and had everything taken care of in no time. They were nothing but professional and I would definitely recommend them to others. They will also be my first call if anything like this were to happen again in the future.

Our dealings with Select Restoration after a horrific house fire was a positive experience. From day one, they worked with our insurance company, settled our claim and got to work. The restoration did slow down after the COVID shutdown for three months but things came to a beautiful ending, our home looks beautiful and would recommend this company.

Terrible company to work with. Many of the positive reviews seem fake.They are constantly pushing back dates- read some of the other reviews. They legitimately threaten people for defamation just for posting honest reviews (lol) and threaten to trace their IP address and find out who they are- which is why I'm using an alias to post this review.There are other, better companies available. I've thrown away tens of thousands of dollars because of them taking half a year for something that I was told would take a couple months. They are incredibly shady.Take the negative reviews seriously- I wish I would have. Many of them have a common theme (unreliability, taking too long, being unresponsive, and being unprofessional).

My boyfriend contracted this company for work on his house and after 6 months it is still not finished. He has called, left voicemails and emailed multiple times with no response from the company. The company has went MIA for weeks on end without any explanation which has costed my boyfriend a small fortune and stress. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY.

I'm so thankful I chose Select Restoration for do the water mitigation in my basement. The flooding was a result of a power failure causing sump pump to back up. Everyone I spoke with at Select was kind, courteous, professional. Jordan and Zack came out on 4/2/20 and did such a wonderful job. No one wants to have unexpected repairs done on their home once, let alone twice. After the fantastic job Select Restoration did a few years back to restore water damage to my property, it was a no-brainer to use them again when I experienced a similar issue that required mitigation and restoration work. I did not expect my experience with them this time around could’ve been any better than the first, but to my pleasant surprise it was! Their quality and customer service is absolutely FIRST CLASS and unmatched! Special thanks to Debbie and Bryan for going above and beyond to ensure 110% complete customer satisfaction! We had a fire in March 2019, and chose Select Restoration as our lead contractor for the rebuild. From the first day of the process, their team provided a sense of comfort and confidence for us, and never wavered throughout the process. The communication was good, and their team was more than willing to accommodate our every request in the rebuilding process. We are very pleased with all of the work that was done, and are absolutely in love with our finished home. Our home had to be completely torn down to studs and rebuilt, and the work that was done is absolutely top notch. I would highly recommend any and all of their services.

I am writing this review to help those who have gone through a fire in their home. When I began to look for a restoration company I interviewed many companies but none compared to Select Restoration. Kevin Clinton was my Select Restoration representative and to say he has done an awesome job is an understatement.We had an electrical fire in our home. Our home had extensive fire and smoke damage. I have a rare and serious disease so it was imperative there would be no lingering smoke after all the reconstruction was done. The discussion with other companies and my insurance company was basically to cover up the damage. Kevin's years of experience with home restoration gave him the knowledge that this would not be enough to make my home safe for me. Kevin recommended replacement of items such as insulation that was not fire damaged but smoke damaged. Kevin also did a very thorough review of items in my home that were not up to code that other contractors missed. For example replacement of floor boards that did not meet code or replacement or charred floor boards verses cover up. Kevin's estimate resulted in a total of 3 times the amount of my insurance adjuster and other restoration companies estimates.Not only was Kevin's review of the damage of my home more extensive he also had the skill and knowledge as to how to present the necessary information to my insurance company to obtain an approval. Kevin obtained certified documents from the City of Mount Clemens and an electrician outlining the additional work that he was advising needed to be done. Kevin included this documentation with the initial estimate providing my insurance company with the information they needed to authorize the additional work up front saving valuable time.From assessing what needed to be done, to working with my insurance adjuster and picking up the slack from my contents removal company Kevin has kept the process of restoration moving in my home. Kevin's strong construction background enabled him to look for and find many areas in our home that were damaged but overlooked by other contractors and my insurance company. Kevin was persistent in his communication with my insurance adjuster.In short, Select Restoration, provided excellent knowledge of what needed to be done to make my house safe for me, incredible negotiating skills and was kind and respectful to everyone. Select Restoration made one of the most difficult times in our lives, the destruction of our house by fire, hopeful and bearable. They have the most wonderful team of artisans and craftsmen that honor the harshness of the lost and balance the reality of the insurance claim and city ordinances. Select restoration should not be trusted. They threatened to refuse work on my house even though they were already paid unless i took down or changed what is an honest review exposing them. They were hired to do fire restoration by me. Select hired an abatement company to clean it up. That abatement companies foreman greeted me with a sincere appology for his employee stealing from me. They ripped out the copper plumbing that they werent told to. The forman said that emoyee was fired. They also broke into a part of my home which was unaffectedby the fire and padlock secured. tools and liquor was stolen there. The worse part is how denny from select tried to lie to me about the copper to save face over the abaters. The adjuster from my insurance informed me copper plumbing was to stay. And they didnt want to address the break in with belongings stolen. Never heard back over that from select. I chose them and i have regretted it ever since. When i mentioned some upgrades they offered to include some with the job but wouldnt put it in writing. Which is probably illegal anyway to offer to get work . I was most concerned with my home being returned to me promptly after a fire had occured. The superintendent kevin made all kinds of promises. Told me they would work hard and get it done ahead of estimated time.Aftet i signed the contract it was as if i never existed. Only contact they made was to get me to sign over a check. Which i wanted to do while going over a gameplan for my house. After about three weeks of them nagging about getting paid. And still not doing any work or asking what i even wanted i gave in and signed it. I just foolishly believed they would do whats right. They still didnt start for a whole month after. Blaming it on ordering materials. Which coulda been ordered earlier. They were all about getting paid and not concerned with the job theu needed to do They worked about 10 days then pulled off of it leaving the roof uncovered and being rained on for.a month. Causing further damge. Which would mean more money for them when they went back to the insurance company. I had to get on them by leaving honest reviews to finally get them to go back to work. The owner agreed to do some work if i would take down the honest reviews or lie and give good ones!!! Wow blackmailed by them or they would screw me over more? I wanted them off the job. I got an itemized reciept. Talk about insurance fraud. Select billed for work not done. About $1700 for treating wood not done. Tile not removed. And electeical hookup for them to work. I was being descent and had electricity turned on to make the whole job easier. Which i am not obligated to do. They can use generators and of they are serius work harder to get to a point where the electricians can come in. They repay my generosity with sneaking a bill their electrician charged for running temporary power. This isnt part of my house. Its a Tool for them to work. it gets removed when they get electrical hooked up. Im done with them so we fired them. Seems like they needed money so bad and werent willng to do the work they promised or were paid to. The promised upgrades they were gonna do all went away after the check was signed. They became added bills for me. Which i was not opposed to if they did the work. So my advice is to avoid select restoration. I stand by his review so much. If anyone has questions about them. An ironworker can be found on facebook and my name is posted. Too add even more select had a empty dumpster removed they charged me for to try and stick it to me for firing and refusing to lie or change an honest reviewe. Also notice how they tried to put blame on me. After they refused to do any work. They offer to do so called extras like move a wall inside etc. To ease our minds an deflect from their shortcomings as a contractor. Besides. Moving a closet??? hich it was does not interfere with a roof. They are trying to distract potential clients with justifications.

What a great company! Expert service, knowledgeable and very cordial people. After 3" of water in basement when sump pump failed during last weeks storms I was desperate and needed help ASAP they were out here within an hour of phone call. They did an outstanding job an very through.Very higly recommended if you need expert home repairs or emergency service. In the middle of kitchen overhaul now due to a burst pipe. We have been disappointed with Select's performance during the project. Let's start with the good: 1. Select did a great job working with the insurance company to arrive at a fair claim reimbursement. 2. Select does respond to our calls quickly. Now for the bad: 1. Multiple preventable issues have occurred that caused work that had to be redone and delays. This includes: cabinets installed incorrectly because carpenter was sent out without a kitchen layout and was looking only at a layout on his phone screen. Floor installation issues - prep work was not completed before floor install, transition strips were not installed properly, floor was not installed behind washer/dryer. 2. Professionalism of workers is lacking. It's not good when you hear the guy installing your cabinets yell: I hate cabinets. And then you notice you can't open the cabinet door he was working on because it's too close to the wall. It's also not good when your flooring guy snaps into a rage because he made an error, or it's not his job to move washer/dryers. Nor is it good when you're told you only need to select a granite color; then you get a picture right before they're about to cut and it's completely not what you wanted, so you have to drop what you're doing, drive out to the granite vendor where you learn there is an option to pick out a slab from a warehouse, but nobody gave you this option until the day before the scheduled install. 3. General project management/supervision is lacking. I understand workers are on multiple projects. I do not understand why someone else cannot be sent when one worker gets pulled to an "emergency". Not having a kitchen for 6 weeks is an emergency to us. It's also frustrating when you have to ask everyday who is coming to your home, when will they arrive, and what are they going to be doing.

I've given them 5 stars for putting up with me. Plus I'm 51yrs old using my dtrs account with an outdated pic.All humor aside, I was extremely pleased with select restoration in full. Brain was very helpful and patient with the many question and concerns. Deni/contractor tended to my every concern, request and many changes and comments along the way.The quality of materials available along with workmanship and experience gained my trust.Word of advise: ask many questions along the way, don't assume anything. Brian and Deni are straight shooters and I can confidently tell you, they would even agree with this advice.

Select Restoration recently redid my basement following a flood event. I used the opportunity to completely update the large basement space to make it more usable and attractive. Brian and then Deni as project manager did an absolutely outstanding job - they were reliable, helpful, and immediately understood what I was looking to achieve with the update. They worked with me and accommodated my scheduling issues and I am thrilled with the result. It is beautiful and the punch listed consisted on only 1 item that was taken care of immediately. I highly recommend Select Restoration and I would definitely use them again!

We're not quite done yet with the restoration from the broken water pipe in the ceiling of our garage, but I was moved to write now because I am beyond impressed with the excellence of service, care, details, professionalism, etc., etc, shown from my very first call through the current stage of completion. Can't say enough about the outstanding leadership, dedication, initiative, courtesy, helpfulness of Jake, CJ, Aimee, and everyone else involved. One would be absolutely convinced they were each working on their own home. With complete trust and confidence, which they have earned at every step, I am beyond totally satisfied and recommend Select without reservation if/when the need arises.UPDATE: The work is now done and all of my prior comments stand or are surpassed for quality, dedication, and attention to detail. My home sustained fire damage and Select Restoration came immediately , assessed the damage and coordinated with my insurance company to provide the necessary repairs. I was contacted frequently with updates. The repairs were done very professionally and were completed in a very timely fashion. I was also very pleased when Select Restoration covered my insurance deductible leaving me with no out of pocket expenses. My husband and I thought we had a small water leak with minimal damage to our ceiling. We called select restoration to take a look. Certainly glad we did! They did a thorough examination of the problem which led to our awareness that our entire roof needed to be replaced. We are so thankful that we ended up working with them. I highly recommend Select Restoration. Basement flooded due to faulty sump pump. Within minutes we heard from Dominic and he guided us through the steps. Even though it was evening, he and his crew came, removed articles from basement, checked for mold, sucked up water and placed commercial fans and dehumidifiers. Each day Dominic or Mark would check dryness of not only flooring but drywall too. They were extremely thorough in there analysis. This company showed professionalism and genuine empathy throughout the process.
